What it is
The EB3A is a 268 wHr power bank that provides a great selection of outputs, reasonable battery capacity, and a strong AC output of 600W (1200W surge) in a compact, “lunch box” package. With some caveats, this is a great power bank, and perhaps the current leader in the 300 wHr range.
Who it’s For
This power bank is the right size for a weekend of camping (assuming you’re not using a fridge or other high-draw electrical appliances), a day at the beach or picnic, or a brief power outage. The relatively high capacity power inverter will allow you to run a household fridge or freezer, or a blender, albeit briefly, or have enough power to charge phones and laptops several times during a power outage. The box-like shape and carry handle make it easy to store and transport.
- [Tiny but Mighty] - With a 600W AC inverter, 268Wh LiFePO4 battery pack, and 9 outlets, this power station will keep your essential devices powered on the go or during a home power outage.
- [Ultra-fast Charging] - No bulky power brick, a single cable is good to charge it at most 350W; you also can use the PV+AC together for 80% SOC in just 30 min.
- [Harness the Power of Sun] - The built-in MPPT controller supports up to 200W of solar input, enabling you to make an ideal solar generator with BLUETTI PV120/PV200 solar panel.
- [Reliable UPS] - EB3A instantly provides backup power when the grid fails, protecting your desktop PC, file servers, and other sensitive devices from data loss or damage.
Pros & Cons
Heavy
Highly Functional Design
While the plastics and handle are clearly built to hit a price point, the design, size, port selection, display, and an actually useful front light indicate some thought was put into this bank.
Great Selection of Outputs
There’s a very useful selection of AC and DC outputs, as well as a wireless phone charger. The display helpfully shows the typical percentage and “fuel gauge” as well as an estimated time remaining.
LiFePO4 Battery Tech
Bluetti was an early adopter of LiFePO4 batteries, which offer longer lifespans and more charge/discharge cycles. The EB3A continues that trend.
Lightweight
Cheaper Materials
The reasonable price point is achieved through materials that aren’t as nice as some of the other power banks on the market.
Another 1-2 USB Ports Would Have Been Nice
This is the perfect size power bank for keeping phones charged during a campout, BBQ, or power outage. A couple additional USB ports would have been nice to take advantage of this.
